These are more advanced than sprinkler heads as they cover a larger distance with their spray and also rotate while spraying so that a larger area gets covered in the same time. They are therefore more expensive but you are only required to use few heads to cover a large area so that it works out cheaper in the long run. Since they water a large area effectively, they are very useful in water conservation. They are available in different sizes, materials and features. They are most effective when used in areas which require a larger throw of water like golf courses or commercial gardens. They have different nozzles which can take different patterns and cover different distances. There are two good models; one is the Hunter PGP rotors and Rain Bird rotors.
